Question of the Day
An allegory is basically a figurative type of writing, where it hides a deeper meaning in the simple text. Just like Animal Farm has done; they created a world of animals that represents historical events and mirror huge political figures like Karl Marx. This is powerful because the reader can interpret the book any way he wants to and has the freedom to read the book the way he enjoys it. That's how I feel about allegories in general.

Squealer's Reasoning. SMH.
In my opinion, I think that Squealer's reasoning is completely biased towards Napoleon. From the context of the book and the events that have taken place, we see that Napoleon is power seeker and wishes to attain as much power and dictatorship of the farm as he can. We can see this, for example, through the decision of running Snowball off the podium, and putting fear into the other animals souls. This is injustice and completely unfair, which goes against what Squealer had stated. I have reason to believe that Squealer's reasoning was of course to regain some respect for Napoleon's actions, and to have the animals complete confidence in his abilities. Now, when Squealer brings up that every animal is treated equally, it makes me laugh because no one can be treated equally first of all, and secondly, Napoleon has put himself over everyone else. So for these reasons, I think that Squealer's reasoning is completely biased.
