Tutoring Experience

Today, we visited Ms. Hine's classroom and spent the majority of our period there. She teaches a special education with around 15 kids present. Their project earlier in the day had been to bake some cinnamon rolls, and enjoy them before they head home. We were privileged enough to join them in eating the cinnamon rolls. Persuasive Strategies and Advertisements

The claim is if you purchase these shoes, you will be a "superior" basketball player. The audience is all shoe fanatics and basketball players. Ethos in this advertisement is "the advantage of superior elevation". The pathos is the blue, which evokes a positive response because it is a bright color. The logos in this advertisement are non-existent. There is no real kairos either.

New Year's Resolution/2nd Semester Goals

Personally, I don't really think that a New Year's Resolution is worth it, because it ends up just being an "in the moment" feeling. So, I don't believe in having a resolution every year, but instead I just have the same goals and things to do in general during my course of high school that needs to be accomplished. Those include; perfecting the SATs, bringing home the right grades, and actually learning something from high school that I can use in my future. For the second semester, my aspirations are to pass both AP classes with an A and the AP tests that are coming up. Along with that, I hope to continue to be a part of the various extra curriculums at our school and achieving excellence in them.
