Gestures vs. Thoughts
A gesture is a movement of part of the body; hand or the head, to express an idea or meaning. A thought is an idea or opinion produced by thinking or occurring suddenly in the mind. The relationship between a gesture and a thought is that, gestures can show thoughts through various motions, such as the shrug, or even sign language. However, thoughts cannot show gestures.

Reflection
Throughout the three of weeks of the poetry unit, I've learned a variety of different poems. This unit taught me the various formats, and themes of poetry. The poetry slam was definitely the highlight of the unit, where we expressed ourselves through our own poem. It was a great end to a 3 week program, and it was lots of fun to hear our classmates recite their poems.
